There are still things you can do! Here are five power foods that will keep your body strong and healthy throughout the week:
- Avocados- These green gems contain more potassium per ounce than bananas do! They also have an incredible amount of fiber which helps us feel full for longer periods of time. Try adding them on top of a salad or using them as spreads on sandwiches instead of mayo!
- Oats – oats are rich in fiber which makes them great for keeping hunger at bay. They also contain beta glucan which has been shown in studies to reduce cholesterol levels.
- Quinoa – quinoa is an excellent source of protein and contains all nine amino acids so it’s considered a complete protein! It also provides all the essential minerals our bodies need on a daily basis including magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc and calcium.
- Watermelon – The best thing about watermelon is it’s high water content, which means it will fill you up faster than other fruits and vegetables.
